Partners In Education
 > Superintendent's Message > Partners In Education

Investment in education is vital to ensuring a robust future economy for California and the nation. In tough economic times, it is more important than ever to supplement our education system with private financial support from community stakeholders.

Business and community assistance through in-kind and financial resources makes the difference to enrich educational opportunities for our students. In Orange County, community partners are stepping up to help us prepare students for their futures. Businesses partner with schools and work directly with students through classroom presentations, job shadowing, mentoring, internship, and apprenticeship programs. The project-based learning and entrepreneurial projects made available through business-education partnerships are wonderful examples of meaningful, engaging learning. Such activities provide elementary and secondary students exposure to a variety of careers and the education and training required to pursue them.

We continue to welcome business and community leaders to become partners with educators. We encourage you to become involved in educating youth, using your talents and resources to offer students real life learning experiences and support. The business community can offer support and resources to the classroom through a donation of time, mentoring, role-modeling, or by supporting local education foundations.

By continuing our collaborative work for world class education, we can look forward to a bright future of ensuring that every student succeeds! For more information, contact your local school district or visit the links below.
